German Chancellor Predicts Possible Win for Kamala Harris in U.S. Election

German Chancellor Olaf Scholz believes that U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris has a strong chance of winning the upcoming U.S. election. He refrained from directly endorsing her over Republican candidate Donald Trump. Scholz previously supported Joe Biden before Biden decided not to run for reelection and endorsed Harris as the Democrat party's candidate.

German Chancellor Olaf Scholz expressed confidence in U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris's chances in the forthcoming U.S. election, suggesting it was 'very possible' she could secure a win. He stopped short of endorsing her outright over Republican rival Donald Trump.

Scholz had been straightforward in his support for U.S. President Joe Biden prior to Biden's announcement last weekend that he would not seek reelection. Biden subsequently endorsed Harris as the Democratic contender to face Trump in the November election.

'The election campaign in the USA will certainly be exciting, now with a slightly new line-up and a new constellation,' Scholz remarked during an annual summer press conference. 'I think it is very possible that Kamala Harris will win the election, but the American voters will decide.'
