Congress MP Deepender Hooda has leveled accusations against the BJP-led central government, alleging the misuse of central agencies like the Enforcement Directorate (ED) and the CBI against opposition leaders. His statements followed the arrest of Haryana Congress MLA Surender Panwar in connection with an illegal mining-linked money-laundering case.

Hooda fervently demanded that the BJP government answer questions from the public instead of deploying these agencies for political purposes. Leading a march from Narnaund Anaj Mandi to Khanda Mor in the Narnaund assembly constituency, Hooda claimed that a 'wave' of Congress support is sweeping across Haryana.

The 'Haryana Maange Hisaab Abhiyan' campaign seeks answers to 15 key questions concerning BJP's alleged misgovernance. According to Hooda, the state has seen a decline in prosperity and development over the past decade, with growing public dissatisfaction evident through large protest gatherings.

Hooda reiterated the party's pointed questions, including why Haryana has the highest unemployment rate in India and what led to the cessation of government recruitment. Issues such as water scarcity, crime rates, and favoritism have added to public grievances. Launched on July 15, the 'Haryana Maange Hisaab' campaign targets multiple fronts, including unemployment, law enforcement, and farmer concerns.

A 55-year-old legislator, Panwar, was detained early in the day in Gurugram and subsequently produced before a special Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) court in Ambala, which placed him under ED custody until July 29.
