Maharashtra BJP chief Chandrashekhar Bawankule on Saturday announced that the party will appeal to voters against electing the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA), consisting of the Shiv Sena (UBT), Congress, and NCP (SP), stating that it is not in the state's best interest.

Bawankule, at a press conference, claimed that the MVA would stop welfare schemes from both the state and Union governments. He also spoke about the BJP's daylong state convention in Pune, with Union minister Nitin Gadkari and Union Home Minister Amit Shah addressing key sessions.

Former Union minister Raosaheb Danve and Mumbai BJP chief Ashish Shelar will be discussing and moving resolutions on political scenarios and the state budget. Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis will discuss the state government's performance. Bawankule emphasized the importance of BJP functionaries ensuring that government welfare schemes reach all 97,000 booths.
