In a recent meeting, U.S. Senate Democratic leader Chuck Schumer advised President Joe Biden to end his reelection campaign, according to ABC News. Schumer's recommendation is seen as a reflection of the growing concerns within the Democratic Party regarding Biden's suitability for a second term.

U.S. House Democratic leader Hakeem Jeffries has also communicated similar opinions directly to Biden, as reported by a source familiar with the discussion. Schumer's office, however, has labeled the news as 'idle speculation,' stating that he merely conveyed the views of his caucus to the President.

Jeffries' office did not offer an immediate comment when approached by Reuters. Meanwhile, Democratic U.S. Representative Adam Schiff has become the 20th congressional Democrat to publicly urge Biden to withdraw from the race, reflecting increasing concern over Biden's performance and ability to compete against Republican challenger Donald Trump.
