In a notable step toward enhancing educational avenues in mediation, Madhyastha- Centre of Excellence on ADR was inaugurated at Chandigarh University by Punjab and Haryana High Court judges, Justice Deepak Gupta and Justice Vikram Aggarwal, alongside Chancellor Satnam Singh Sandhu.

The launch event also featured distinguished attendees such as Prof (Dr.) RS Bawa, Deepinder Singh Sandhu, Prof (Dr.) Mohd Imran, Dr. Komal Vig, and Prof (Dr.) OP Midha. In his address, Justice Deepak Gupta emphasized the centre's potential in addressing India's massive judicial backlog, with over 5.7 crore cases pending.

The centre offers students practical mediation experience, prepping them for future roles in the legal field, while promoting peaceful conflict resolution. Congratulatory remarks from Justice Vikram Aggarwal and Prof (Dr.) RS Bawa highlighted the institution's vision for fostering human dignity and innovative education.
