Adam Schiff Urges President Biden to End Reelection Bid

Democratic U.S. Representative Adam Schiff has called on President Joe Biden to end his reelection bid, according to a statement given to the Los Angeles Times on Wednesday. This makes Schiff the 20th congressional Democrat to take such a position.

In his statement, Schiff expressed deep concerns about the current President's chances against former President Donald Trump in the upcoming November election. 'A second Trump presidency will undermine the very foundation of our democracy, and I have serious concerns about whether the President can defeat Donald Trump in November,' Schiff said. Schiff is currently running for the Senate as a California Democrat.

These concerns among Democrats have intensified following Biden's faltering performance in the June 27 debate. Meanwhile, Trump, who narrowly escaped an assassin's bullet during a campaign stop in Pennsylvania, is currently in Milwaukee where Republicans are formally nominating him as their candidate.
