A video allegedly showing a Madhya Pradesh Congress functionary accusing All India Mahila Congress president Alka Lamba of threatening to strike her with a shoe has gone viral. The incident reportedly occurred during a party meeting on Tuesday.

Alka Lamba, who was in the state capital to participate in the Women's Congress executive committee meeting, left the venue in an SUV without responding to reporters' questions. Madhya Pradesh Mahila Congress president Vibha Patel denied any such incident took place.

Former Singrauli district council head Madhu Sharma claimed she was threatened by Lamba when questioning why her name was missing from the general secretaries' list. Sharma, now, plans to take her grievances to senior party leaders, including Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, and Priyanka Gandhi. Senior MLA Ajay Singh Rahul Bhaiya has called the incident 'unfortunate' and demanded an investigation. Lamba, earlier addressing the media, highlighted issues like inflation, crimes against women, and the need for the Women Reservation Bill.
