Transition of Power: Vikram Misri to Succeed Vinay Kwatra as India's Foreign Secretary

External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar on Sunday lauded outgoing Foreign Secretary Vinay Kwatra for his significant contributions in foreign policy and national security.
Vikram Misri, presently the deputy national security advisor, will assume the position of foreign secretary on Monday, succeeding Kwatra who took charge on May 1, 2022.
In a statement on 'X', Jaishankar expressed his gratitude towards Kwatra for his dedication and his strategic execution of key policies over the past decade, wishing him success in his future endeavors.
