Senior BJP leader Suvendu Adhikari alleged on Sunday that the ruling Trinamool Congress (TMC) prevented thousands of genuine voters from exercising their right to vote in the recent by-elections for four assembly seats in West Bengal.

Adhikari, who protested outside the Raj Bhavan in Kolkata against alleged post-poll violence, said he would bring 100 affected voters to the Governor's House to file formal complaints with the Election Commission.

Responding to the allegations, senior TMC leader Kunal Ghosh accused the BJP of fabricating claims due to their repeated electoral defeats in West Bengal. The TMC won all four assembly seats contested in the July 10 by-elections.
