Congress leader Sachin Pilot emphasized on Tuesday that the Lok Sabha election results send a strong message against political repression, revenge, and discrimination.

"I want to thank the people of Rajasthan for the unexpected election results. We have defeated the Bharatiya Janata Party on 11 seats. Whether it was Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, or Rajasthan, the people, farmers, and youth have clearly spoken," Pilot stated to reporters in Dausa.

Pilot was in Dausa commemorating the death anniversary of his father, former Union minister Rajesh Pilot.

A significant number of Congress workers gathered in Bhadana, Dausa, to pay their respects at the Rajesh Pilot Memorial and participated in a 'Sarvadharma' prayer meeting.

According to a party spokesperson, several MLAs and all eight newly elected Congress MPs from Rajasthan attended the program. In the Lok Sabha elections, the INDIA bloc secured 11 out of 25 seats in the state, while BJP won the remaining 14.

Pilot remarked that a fractured mandate necessitated a coalition government at the Centre.

"The election results convey that politics of repression, revenge, attack, and discrimination will not succeed. The public disapproved actions such as the suspension of 147 MPs in one day. This mandate suggests the need for collaborative effort in the future," Pilot added.

Taking a jab at the new National Democratic Alliance government, he commented, "There are rising doubts within various parties about the newly formed government; some are even refusing to take the oath. Time will tell how long and how effectively this government can run."
