An artillery strike on Monday tragically claimed the lives of six people in Ukraine's Luhansk region, according to Leonid Pasechnik, the Russia-installed governor of the area. Among the victims were three journalists, one of whom was Alexander Fedorchak from Russia's Izvestia media outlet.
The attack also took the lives of Andrei Panov, a camera operator, and Alexander Sirkeli, a driver for Zvezda television channel operated by Russia's Defence Ministry. A 14-year-old child was also tragically killed in the incident.
Luhansk, largely under Russian control since the conflict began, has been annexed along with Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, and Kherson, intensifying tensions in the ongoing clash between Moscow and Kyiv.
