BRS MLC K Kavitha has firmly stated her party's opposition to the central government's proposed amendments to the Waqf Act, highlighting concerns over minority rights.
During an Iftar event in Kamareddy district, she addressed Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy's frequent trips to Delhi, labeling him a 'flight mode' CM who has yet to deliver tangible benefits for the state.
Kavitha also criticized the Congress for not effectively managing communal tensions and for failing to uphold initiatives for Muslim youth and women that were started by the BRS government. The controversial Waqf (Amendment) Bill intends to rename and reform the Waqf Act, 1995, and proposes significant changes to the management of Waqf properties.
