In a call for concerted global efforts to tackle the drug crisis, China's public security minister, Wang Xiaohong, has pledged to intensify international collaboration in drug control, according to state media outlet Xinhua.
As director of the national narcotics control committee, Wang stressed the importance of eradicating conditions conducive to drug problems during a recent meeting.
This comes amid U.S. expectations for China to assist in reducing fentanyl-related casualties, with China emphasizing its strict drug regulations and urging the U.S. to address domestic narcotics demand.
