Coco Gauff and Taylor Fritz have propelled the United States into the United Cup mixed teams tennis quarterfinals following impressive performances in their matches. Fritz secured victory over Borna Coric with a 6-3, 6-2 win, ensuring the American team's top position in Group A. Gauff followed up by defeating Donna Vekic 6-4, 6-2 in women's singles, avenging her previous loss to Vekic at the Paris Olympics.

"I'm really happy with how I played today," Gauff expressed. "The Olympics loss was tough, but it motivated me to do better, and I'm glad to contribute to my team's success." The U.S. had earlier clinched a win against Canada in their opening match.

The quarterfinals in Perth were slated for Wednesday, setting up a clash between the U.S. and runner-up China, along with a faceoff between Group winners Kazakhstan and Germany. In Sydney, Italy also secured a quarterfinal spot with a 3-0 victory over France at Ken Rosewall Arena, driven by strong singles performances and a mixed doubles win.
