In a significant move, Delhi Chief Minister Atishi registered the granthis of a Karol Bagh area gurudwara for the AAP government's newly launched monthly honorarium scheme.

This initiative was part of a broader effort spearheaded by AAP supremo Arvind Kejriwal, who outlined plans for the 'Pujari Granthi Samman Yojana'. The initiative aims to provide a monthly allowance of Rs 18,000 for Hindu temple priests and granthis of gurdwaras, contingent upon AAP's re-election.

The scheme officially kicked off with the registration of the priest of the Marghat Wale Baba temple. According to Kejriwal, additional registrations will occur at other places of worship throughout Delhi.
