Vandalism of Former UP Minister's Statue: Arrests Made

In a recent development, police arrested two individuals accused of vandalizing a statue of former Uttar Pradesh minister Shardanand Anchal in Chitbaragaon. The arrests were confirmed by Superintendent of Police Omvir Singh.

The destruction was reported on December 25 when the statue's head was found severed. The life-size tribute was initially installed in 2013 by former Rampur Chit village head Krishna Yadav.

A case was filed under Section 298 following a complaint, and authorities are in search of additional suspects involved in this act of vandalism.
