Human Rights Watch has issued a scathing report accusing Israel of committing war crimes and crimes against humanity in the Gaza Strip. The report highlights forced displacements that it describes as ethnic cleansing.
The rights group claims that Israeli evacuation orders have inflicted grave harm on civilians, with many killed along evacuation routes and in so-called humanitarian zones. These areas, crammed with displaced citizens, are described as squalid tent camps.
The organization urges governments to cease weapon supplies to Israel and comply with the International Court of Justice's opinion declaring Israel's presence in the Palestinian territories unlawful.
