In a dramatic turn of events in Telangana's Vikarabad district, villagers fiercely protested the acquisition of land for a proposed 'pharma village.' The unrest led to an attack on vehicles of district authorities, injuring officials including the Additional Collector.

The incident unfolded in Lagacharla village during a public hearing on land acquisition by Telangana Industrial Infrastructure Corporation (TGIIC). The protest took a violent turn when outsiders reportedly joined in, hurling stones at officials.

Three FIRs have been filed, with 22 suspects identified. More security forces have been deployed to stabilize the situation, as district employees in Vikarabad condemned the attack by staging their own protest.
