In a harrowing incident, a 40-year-old man has been apprehended for allegedly sexually assaulting and impregnating a minor girl in a local village, as confirmed by law enforcement on Monday.

The victim, just 14, was found to be pregnant during a medical examination initiated due to her persistent abdominal pain. This revelation led her to confide in her parents about the assault, identifying a village resident as the perpetrator.

Mahilpur Station House Officer Sub-Inspector Raman Kumar has announced the suspect's arrest, citing charges under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act. Further inquiries into the case are currently underway.
