Tragic Blast in Birbhum: Villager Killed While Inflating Balloons

A fatal cylinder explosion in West Bengal's Birbhum district claimed the life of Bipadtaran Bagdi on Sunday, local police reported.
Bagdi was reportedly filling gas balloons at the home of civic volunteer Durgaprasad Bhattacharya in Binse village when the blast occurred, severely damaging the property and mutilating his body.
In the aftermath, enraged locals attacked Bhattacharya's home, holding him responsible for the incident and assaulting him. They demanded his immediate arrest. Police are investigating but have yet to make any arrests, focusing on Bhattacharya's role in the event. Trinamool Congress block president Saber Ali Khan has vowed justice for Bagdi's family.
