US Couple's Attempt to Enter Nepal Without Documents Thwarted
Two US nationals from California, including a woman of Nepali origin, were arrested in Bihar's Madhubani district for attempting to illegally cross into Nepal without valid travel documents. Two US nationals were arrested in Bihar's Madhubani district for attempting to cross into Nepal without valid travel documents, police announced on Sunday.
Originating from California, the individuals received logistical support from two locals, who were also detained. The incident occurred near the India-Nepal border in Jainagar.
Security personnel stopped the couple near the Betaunha border outpost as they aimed to leave India on Saturday afternoon. Authorities have registered a case and further investigations are ongoing.
