Police Busts Prostitution Racket in Maharashtra
A 50-year-old man was arrested in Maharashtra's Palghar district for running a prostitution ring. The Anti-Human Trafficking Cell conducted a raid, rescuing three women. The accused, Rajesh Hasmukhlal Shah, was caught arranging a deal worth Rs 29,000. He faces charges under the Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act.

Authorities in Maharashtra's Palghar district successfully dismantled a prostitution ring, leading to the arrest of a 50-year-old suspect, Rajesh Hasmukhlal Shah. This operation, conducted by the Anti-Human Trafficking Cell, unveiled the illegal activities flourishing in the region.
Prior to the police raid, an undercover customer engaged Shah via WhatsApp, negotiating a deal valued at Rs 29,000. This undercover operation was crucial in exposing the exploitation of the women, aged between 40 and 42, who were subsequently sent to a shelter for protection.
Inspector Saurabhi Pawar, leading the Nalla Sopara unit, underscored the charge against Shah under the Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act, signaling a stark warning to those involved in such illicit activities.
