The Anti-Human Trafficking Unit of the Criminal Investigation Department acted swiftly on information received, leading to the arrest of two individuals believed to be part of an inter-state trafficking ring.
The rescued two-day-old baby girl was immediately admitted to Howrah State General Hospital. The successful operation saw collaboration between the Child Welfare Committee and Bachpan Bachao Andolan, an NGO committed to child welfare.
