In an unfolding controversy, Goa minister Vishwajit Rane demanded police complaints against alleged forgeries in job appointment letters pertaining to his department. The revelation came after Goa Congress chief Amit Patkar presented the forgeries that reportedly exploited job seekers.
Patkar disclosed that these forged documents bore signatures of department heads in Urban Development, Town and Country Planning, and Health. In response, Minister Rane stressed the criminal nature of the forgery and directed department heads to pursue legal action against the perpetrators.
Amid accusations and calls for government intervention, this scam has prompted Chief Minister Pramod Sawant to urge victims to report such exploitations. Meanwhile, Congressman Patkar has called for Governor's involvement, seeking transparency and reform in the hiring process to prevent future abuses.
