Major General A P S Bal officially took charge as the General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the Counter-Insurgency Force 'Delta' in the Chenab Valley of Jammu and Kashmir, taking over from Major General Upkar Chander.
The announcement, made by the Army's Jammu-based White Knight Corps, highlights Bal's commitment to operational excellence by honouring fallen soldiers at the local war memorial.
The Delta force, since its establishment in 1994, has been a pivotal player in counter-terrorism efforts in the Kishtwar, Doda, and Ramban districts of Jammu and Kashmir.
