In a tragic turn of events in Delhi's Shahdara area, a Diwali celebration was marred by a deadly shooting that claimed the lives of a 40-year-old man, Akash Sharma, and his teenaged nephew, Rishabh Sharma. The incident also left Akash's 10-year-old son, Krish Sharma, injured.
The shooting occurred around 8 pm on a festive night when two assailants opened fire outside the victims' residence. Upon receiving a report at around 8:30 pm, police arrived at the scene to find traces of blood and quickly transported the victims to a hospital.
Eyewitnesses reported that the attackers, in a symbolic gesture, touched Akash Sharma's feet before shooting. Officials are considering personal enmity as a motive and have initiated a detailed investigation, including recording statements from the victims' family.
