Authorities in Maharashtra's Nagpur have reportedly identified Jagdish Shriram Uikey as the individual behind a series of fake bomb threats that have agitated airports and key institutions nationally. The threats originated from emails sent in Delhi, investigators stated on Wednesday.

Uikey, a 35-year-old author hailing from Arjuni Morgaon, Gondia district, has resided in the capital in recent years. Over 510 flights faced bogus bomb threats, affecting airlines' operations and finances, primarily through social media channels.

Investigations showed Uikey's emails targeted influential sectors, including the Prime Minister's Office and major transport authorities. Evidence points to his IP address and confirmed identity. Police Commissioner Ravinder Singal announced ongoing efforts to locate and arrest him.
