Ayodhya witnessed an extraordinary spectacle on the eve of Diwali, as the eighth edition of Deepotsav saw the city set two Guinness World Records. The event marked the largest aarti gathering and the most extensive display of oil lamps, with a staggering 2,512,585 diyas illuminating the night.

Guinness World Records official, Nischal Barot, confirmed the accomplishments, highlighting the remarkable gathering of 1,121 participants for the aarti and the captivating light display along the Saryu riverbank. The event infused a cultural and spiritual essence, further enhanced by a laser show and a dramatic narration of Ram Leela.

Part of the larger Deepotsav festivities, the event celebrated the cultural significance of Lord Rama's return to Ayodhya and drew millions of devotees and tourists. Prime Minister Narendra Modi highlighted the historic nature of this year's Diwali, celebrating Lord Rama's presence in the newly constructed temple at Shri Ram Janmabhoomi.
