A suspect was arrested on Tuesday amid allegations of placing detonators on the Haridwar-Dehradun railway track in Uttarakhand. Authorities moved swiftly after a tip-off from the Moradabad Railway Division on Sunday night informed of suspicious activity near Moti Chur railway station.
Officials from the Haridwar Government Railway Police arrived at the location to recover the detonators. CCTV footage was instrumental in identifying the suspect as Ashok, a resident of Rampur in Uttar Pradesh. Subsequently, Ashok was apprehended, and police recovered several detonators from him.
The Senior Superintendent of Police, Sarita Dobhal, mentioned that while a case has been registered against Ashok, the exact motive behind his actions remains unclear. Investigations and interrogations are ongoing to uncover the intentions behind this alarming activity.
