Aga Syed Ruhullah Mehdi, the Member of Parliament from Srinagar, has made an appeal to Jammu and Kashmir's Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, pressing for the release of prisoners held without trial.
The Shia leader from the National Conference conveyed his concerns through a letter posted on his X account, highlighting several issues that require the government's attention. Mehdi emphasized that addressing these matters could significantly enhance societal welfare.
Apart from the release of prisoners, Mehdi stressed the need to revisit reservation policies to promote inclusivity and urged swift action on filling government vacancies. He also called for revising high electricity tariffs and called for a fairer job verification process.
