Navi Mumbai Police's Major Drug Bust Uncovered

Navi Mumbai Police apprehended 20 Nigerian nationals for illegal drug possession in Kharghar. The Anti-Narcotics Cell seized Mephedrone worth Rs 26.77 lakh during a raid involving extensive police personnel. Those arrested are under judicial custody, and charges were filed under various acts and laws.

In a sweeping operation, Navi Mumbai Police arrested 20 Nigerian nationals, including both men and women, while they were allegedly involved in a drug party in Kharghar.

The Anti-Narcotics Cell, assisted by a robust team of police inspectors, constables, anti-riot personnel, and forensic experts, conducted the raid following a tip-off at two eateries late on Monday night.

The operation led to the capture of 107 grams of the illegal substance Mephedrone, valued at Rs 26.77 lakh, alongside liquor. Those detained have been submitted to judicial procedures under multiple legal statutes.
