Major Drug Bust: Meth Seized by NCB
The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) seized 2.7 kg of Methamphetamine, valued at Rs 27 crore, in Chennai. Two men, including a Sri Lankan national, were arrested. An additional Rs 15 lakh in cash was found. Both suspects are in custody as investigations into the network continue.

The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) has announced the seizure of 2.7 kg of Methamphetamine, estimated to be worth Rs 27 crore. Two individuals, including a Sri Lankan, were apprehended in connection with the drug trafficking operation.
The operation was based on a tip-off received by the NCB's Chennai zone, leading to the interception of two men, Vijaykumar and Manivannan, near a bus stand on October 22. Initially, 1.9 kg of Methamphetamine was confiscated from their possession.
Further investigative efforts revealed an additional 900 grams at Manivannan's residence. NCB also seized Rs 15 lakh in cash, believed to be proceeds from drug trafficking. Both suspects are under judicial custody, with ongoing investigations aiming to uncover more links in the trafficking network.
