A shocking incident unfolded in Madhya Pradesh’s Rewa district where a young woman, recently married, was allegedly raped by five men during an outing with her husband. The distressing event occurred on Monday at a picnic spot in Gurh tehsil, sparking an extensive police investigation.

Rewa headquarters Deputy Superintendent of Police, Himali Pathak, informed that the couple, both college students aged 19 to 20, had a dispute near a fountain. Following the attack, they reported the crime at the Gurh police station on Tuesday afternoon.

Police have intensified their probe, rounding up more than 100 suspects while working to protect the survivor's identity. The individuals responsible for the attack are facing charges under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita for gang rape and other offences, although no arrests have been made yet.
