The Supreme Court granted bail on Friday to businessman Amandeep Singh Dhall in connection with a high-profile corruption case involving an alleged excise policy scam.

A bench comprising Justices Surya Kant and Ujjal Bhuyan highlighted the significant number of 300 witnesses yet to be examined by the CBI as the trial had not commenced.

The court acknowledged Dhall's detention for over a year, noting that other accused parties had already been granted bail. Thus, Dhall received bail, subject to trial court terms, and must be present for future hearings.
