A tea factory worker in Assam’s Tinsukia district has been reportedly abducted by an unidentified armed gang, raising concerns over security in the area.

According to Tinsukia Superintendent of Police Abhijit Gaurav, evidence pointing to an 'insurgent outfit' has emerged, though no specific group has been named.

CCTV footage showed a group of around five to six armed men behind the kidnapping of Gautam Basumtary, an employee at a local tea factory. Investigations continue as authorities explore all possibilities without any current demands for extortion.
