In a developing legal confrontation, Sudharshan TV, its managing editor, and five associates face defamation charges brought by Mohammed Tufail Khan.
Judicial magistrate Kartik Taparia is overseeing the complaint, which cites defamatory content broadcasted by the channel and accusations made by an Islamic scholar and three others against Khan.
The judge found sufficient grounds to summon those involved under sections 500 and 501 of the Indian Penal Code, marking a significant move in the case set for further proceedings in January.
