As Cyclone 'Dana' looms near Odisha, Opposition Leader Naveen Patnaik called for calm and vigilance among residents. The Indian Meteorological Department has forecasted a landfall between Bhitarkanika National Park and Dhamra port early Friday.
Patnaik emphasized the importance of awareness and cooperation, urging citizens to support administrative efforts in mitigating the storm's impact. Drawing from Odisha's history of facing cyclones, Patnaik encouraged taking precautions.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi mobilized legislators for rescue and relief, assigning nine ministers to heavily affected districts. Senior IAS officers have been tasked to ensure an effective response, aiming to avert casualties.
