This aid marks China's first display of solidarity with the new government, recently helmed by President Anura Kumara Dissanayake.
The contribution was officially conveyed by Chinese Ambassador Qi Zhenhong, who met with President Dissanayake. The Chinese Embassy in Sri Lanka emphasized the longstanding goodwill between the two nations.
