Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Science and Technology, Dr Jitendra Singh, stressed the need for the optimal use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) to enhance government efficiency and productivity during a special session for the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) staff. The session was held as part of the ongoing "National Learning Week" under Mission Karmayogi, aimed at improving the skills and knowledge of government officials.

Dr. Singh highlighted AI’s transformative potential in governance, urging its use to automate routine tasks, enabling officials to focus on more strategic and critical issues. He emphasized AI’s impact on sectors like healthcare, agriculture, and public service delivery, leading to more responsive and citizen-centric governance. The event, attended by key officials such as Principal Secretary to the Prime Minister Mr. P.K. Dr. Singh emphasized that AI must be deployed responsibly, with strong safeguards to protect data privacy and national security.
