A police complaint has been lodged against relatives of a BJP MLA, accusing them of assaulting staff at a private hospital after their entry to the ICU was prohibited. The incident has raised concerns about the misuse of power by political figures.

The FIR, filed at the Highway police station, stems from a complaint by Dr. Lalit Varshney, citing that the accused, including the MLA's brother and nephews, attacked staff members Pratap and Satyapal. Officer Anand Kumar Shahi confirmed these details after reviewing CCTV evidence.

An application by one of the accused, Jaswant, suggesting that they were the victims instead, was found to be unfounded according to CCTV footage. Dr. Manoj Gupta of the Indian Medical Association has publicly condemned the unlawful behavior tied to the MLA's family.
