The Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA) promptly addressed an engine room fire reported onboard the Malta-flagged tanker Med Atlantic, anchored in the East Johor Straits within Singapore waters.

According to the MPA, all 22 crew members safely disembarked from the vessel without injuries, and there were no disruptions to vessel traffic in the area. To manage the situation, the MPA dispatched a patrol craft, along with support from the Police Coast Guard, the Singapore Civil Defence Force marine firefighting units, and two tugboats to ensure navigational safety.
