A terrorist attack in Jammu and Kashmir's Ganderbal district has resulted in the tragic deaths of seven individuals, including three migrant construction workers from Bihar.

On Monday, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar expressed his deep sorrow over the incident and directed the state's resident commissioner in Delhi to arrange for transporting the bodies to their respective native villages in Bihar.

As a gesture of support, Kumar announced an ex-gratia payment of Rs 2 lakh for each family of the deceased workers and instructed social welfare and labor departments to ensure the families receive all applicable benefits.
