In a significant political move, Haryana's recently elected government has announced the distribution of ministerial portfolios following the swearing-in ceremony led by Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini. Saini, tasked with overseeing a total of 12 crucial departments, will manage home and finance among others, as he steps into his new role.
Anil Vij, previously associated with the home ministry under Manohar Lal Khattar's tenure, will now helm the energy and transport sectors, alongside the labor department. The health portfolio, previously administered by Vij, has been allocated to Arti Singh Rao, who will also oversee the medical education, research, and Ayush departments.
This strategic reshuffle comes after the BJP secured a victory with 48 seats in the Haryana Assembly polls. The allocation also designated roles related to industries, agriculture, education, and more across various ministers, showcasing a broad attempt to manage the diverse needs of the state. The announcement underscores the new government's roadmap for Haryana's administration.
