An Israeli attack on the northern Gaza town of Beit Lahiya left 87 people dead or missing beneath rubble, according to a statement from the Palestinian health ministry on Sunday.
In addition, more than 40 others were injured in the incident. The Israeli military confirmed it is currently investigating the report.
The Israeli-Gaza conflict, which escalated on October 7, 2023, has seen at least 42,603 Palestinian deaths and 99,795 injuries to date, as per the figures from the Gaza health ministry.
