Indian Spy Scandal: Ex-Official Denies US Murder Plot Allegations

In a shocking development, Vikash Yadav, a former Indian official, has been accused by the United States of orchestrating a murder-for-hire scheme targeting Sikh separatist leader Gurpatwant Singh Pannun. However, Yadav and his family have dismissed the allegations as false.

The U.S. Department of Justice recently unsealed an indictment charging Yadav with directing an unsuccessful assassination plot. According to the indictment, Yadav, an alleged former member of India's Research and Analysis Wing, hired a hitman through an intermediary, Nikhil Gupta. Despite these allegations, Yadav's family in his ancestral village 100 km from New Delhi claims they have no knowledge of his involvement in intelligence services.

Indian authorities have initiated an investigation into the matter, but Yadav's current whereabouts remain unknown. The Washington Post reported that Yadav is believed to still be in India, with the U.S. anticipated to seek his extradition. The case sheds light on the complexities of international law enforcement and intelligence collaboration.
