In an unfolding international situation, U.S. Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin expressed uncertainty on Saturday regarding claims of North Korean troops heading to Russia for potential deployment in the Ukraine conflict. He stated that such actions would be alarming if verified.

South Korea's intelligence agency indicated on Friday that North Korea had relocated 1,500 special forces to Russia's Far East to undergo training and acclimatization at military bases, predicting their involvement in the Ukraine war.

Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelenskiy alleged on Thursday that North Korea planned to send 10,000 soldiers to support Moscow. Yet, NATO chief Mark Rutte noted no evidence currently supports Pyongyang's involvement. Both Russia and North Korea have denied these military aid speculations.
