As of September 2, 2024, the UN Interim Force in Lebanon comprises 10,058 peacekeepers from 50 countries, including 876 Nepalese troops. The condemnation comes amidst an escalation in violence where Israeli forces targeted southern Lebanon, wounding at least five peacekeepers.
