As winter draws near, around 150 militants are positioned at launchpads across the Line of Control (LoC) with intentions of infiltrating the Kashmir valley, a senior BSF officer reported on Friday. The officer expressed confidence that security forces will intercept these attempts effectively.
The BSF, in collaboration with the army, employs tactical intelligence and strategic dominance along the border to thwart infiltration. Inspector General (Kashmir Frontier) Ashok Yadav highlighted their preparedness by referring to ongoing monitoring of militants concentrated at these launchpads.
The security forces are also addressing challenges such as narcoterrorism and adapting to evolving technology to enhance border protection, deploying strategies that involve advanced training and modern surveillance equipment to secure the region.
