In a significant move to bolster local businesses ahead of Diwali, Chief Minister Mohan Yadav declared a waiver on all municipal taxes for vendors selling traditional festival items like diyas and idols. This initiative supports the 'Vocal for Local' campaign, effective from today until Dev Uthani Gyaras 2024.

During a press conference, CM Yadav emphasized the importance of supporting local hawkers and shopkeepers, especially during the festive season. He stated, "Our small vendors rely on Deepawali to sustain their businesses. This decision ensures that they can operate freely, without the burden of municipal taxes."

Diwali, celebrated on October 31st in 2024, is one of India's most cherished festivals. Marked by lighting diyas, creating rangoli, and sharing sweets, it embodies the victory of light over darkness. This year, the festival promises unity and hope as families anticipate vibrant celebrations.
