Lebanese PM Condemns Attack on UN Peacekeepers

Lebanese caretaker Prime Minister Najib Mikati condemned what he described as a crime against the UNIFIL peacekeeping force in southern Lebanon after an incident on Friday.
He revealed that discussions with U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken focused on efforts to establish a ceasefire in Lebanon.
A U.N. source reported that Israeli forces targeted an observation post at UNIFIL's Naqoura base, wounding two individuals. Furthermore, the source noted that Israeli forces breached the perimeter of another UNIFIL position they had fired upon the previous day.
